The 2018 National Championship Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium is set to kickoff in less than one hour, but it looks like thousands of fans may be stuck outside and forced to miss the opening kickoff.
According to multiple people outside of the stadium, lines have completely stalled with a number of fans claiming to have been stuck in the same spot for nearly an hour.
With Atlanta traffic and the arrival of President Donald Trump, things have come to a standstill.
The struggles to get in the stadium have been documented on social media.
Absolute chaos getting into stadium tonight. Total clusterfuck. Thousands, maybe tens of thousands, are going to miss opening kickoff.

Story developing: Lines outside Mercedes-Benz Stadium are not moving. Taking at least hour to get inside at this point. At this pace, some will miss kickoff.

Angry crowds locked outside Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. People throwing insults and punches. Meanwhile, inside, the roof is leaking. What a mess! #NationalChampionship #ugafootball #Alabamafootball

Not ideal, Atlanta.
Kickoff between Alabama and Georgia is set for 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Hopefully fans will gain entrance to Mercedes-Benz Stadium sooner rather than later. After all, ticket prices were nearing an all-time high and no one wants to pay thousands of dollars to miss out on part of a championship game.
